Own or Disown?
Mark 14:30-31 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "today-yes, tonight-before the rooster crows twice you yourself will disown me three times."But Peter insisted emphatically, "Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you." And all the others said the same.
Mark 14:66-72 (quite long so i'll jus summarise) Peter first was met up by a servant girl. "You also were with that Nazarene, Jesus," she said.
But... "I don't know or understand what you're talking about." 1st time.
Next, the girl then began to "gossip" on Peter to the people around her, "This fellow is one of them." But yet again.... "he denied it."
Lastly, the people around him started to question him, "Surely you are one of them, for you are a Galilean." And he did the same for the last time, "I don't know this man you're talking about." but also added a bit of swearing!("He began to call down curses on himself, and he swore to them")
At times in our lives, we often hear God or the good within us speaking to us to do the right thing. But also at times, Satan or the bad within us will tell us to do otherwise. And usually this times are the hard ones. We'd be put in a situation where we do not know wad to do and there are 2 condradicting voices. For me, I'd take the wrong way at times and find myself stumbling into a deep pit.
Disobedience is jus the same as disowning. Jesus is the truth. You reject the truth, you reject him. So if today you find urself struggling to climb up a deep pit, you'd know dat the first step is to always ask for forgiveness, repent and start the right way.
What i would try to do whenever i face such situations:-
1. Pray and commit into God's hands and read Bible for help from God
2. Share with spiritual parents(for me is Adrian)
God bless you brothers!
Daniel(dun wish to waste time xD)
