What happened on 29 Nov 2007...

Lets start with once upon a time... well... not really.. it was just like this:

Craig, Daniel and Joel went to help Adrian at the Sharity Gift Box 2007. So we met at Tiong Bahru MRT station at 10.45am (I wont say who was late.. xp) and got on the van Adrian was driving to the the place where they were supposed to collect the gifts for the people. Well... i'll say that the van really needs a good makeover... i wouldn't give details but you can always ask the guys if you really wanna know... lol... >_<

The destination was Millenia Tower and Centennial Tower, right next to each other... (so good, we didnt have to waste time travelling in that van.. =) ), but it had like... 30 to 40 storeys... O.O... Thank God we were only supposed to go to the 14th, 25th and 33th floor for Millenia Tower and storey 12 for Centennial Tower... sounds pretty easy right? Looking at the number of manpower (more than 10), and the number of vans (erm.. two.. but they were big...), we figured it was an easy job we can finish in no time...(yeah.. right.. dream on... =p)

When we got there, Craig and Daniel volunteered to wait at the main entrance while the rest of the guys (and gals) went up to the 14th floor to collect the stuff... the main entrance was super windy, so windy that according to Craig and Daniel, they had "free gel" for 20 mins...

"free gel"

After about 20mins (to Dan n Craig, it seemed like a long time as they were enjoying the wind so much), the guys came down, carrying loads of plastic bags... You would have wondered why (even if u didnt, nvr mind... now u must wonder) they didn't bring any trolleys.... well.. i think they forgot to bring.. but it was so little... we would have managed without the trolleys...

All was fine until we got to the 33th floor (we skipped 25 first)... what was before us in the first room was boxes and boxes of gifts that i also had lost count... It almost filled up the whole floor of the meeting room... and worse of all... there was.. 2 more rooms!!!! Thank God room 2 was very little.. but room 3 (I dunno if i should thank God a not..).. it was as packed as room 1.. that means that we had to make like about ten trips to bring all this down... sigh... =/ but thank God again, we managed to borrow 2 trolleys!!! =D

And so we transfered all the gifts to the lobby of the service lift (too many things so too unsightly for the public lifts..) and waited and waited and erm... waited... we were waitng for the lift to come but everytime there was always somebody there... and worst of all, the cleaner was stopping at every floor to collect the rubbish... >_< (remember.. there's 41 floors...) so finally.. on the third try and after a really long time (the aunty was filling our pockets with mentos and kept insisting we take more...) , the lift was empty and we started to again transfer the gifts into the lift... took around 15 mins and we still had to leave half of them at the lobby cos there was not enough space in the 23men lift (i told you there was ALOT of gifts), even though we stacked them till they were almost dropping... (now you believe me?!) Craig and Joel went down first leaving Daniel and some others behind... and they almost never heard of Daniel again!! haha... why? cos he only managed to come down around 45 mins later... even the 25th floor had been cleared out and packed in the van.. lol

And so the story goes on for the gifts the 25th floor and even at Centennial Tower....but one difference was that the quantity of the gifts were reasonable... phew!!! by the time we had finished and Adrian had drove back to HQ with a van packed to the brim, it was 3.30pm...

As there was no more space for us, we had to take a cab back... the first group was Craig, Daniel, Joel and a Primer named Kai Jie.. the second group was 3 guys and a girl i didnt know... as normal teenagers.. we were fighting for a cab... so the4 of us decided to stabd in front of the other group... thats when one guy came over and said something like this: "Hey.. can you guys be gentlemen anot?? we over there got girl so giv us the taxi k?" (what attitude...)

The fun started when we tried to flag down a taxi... It was during the changing shift for the drivers so we had many taxis going to different directions.... when one taxi did not want to fetch us, it went to the other group and they thought they got it only to be turned down again... lolz... it was until the 4th taxi that stopped that fetched the other group.. (see... we're gentlemen.. i mean.. erm.. some of us... cos some were protesting... >_<) we thought we would get a cab in no time...

Guess how many cabs went past us without stopping even though they were empty and not changing shift? 4.. 4EMPTY CABS!!!!!!!! AND THERE WERE EVEN MORE HIRED CABS!!!!! sigh... so we took some pics in the process... haha...

Candy haven!!!

Dan trying out his new pillow...

Craig just cant believe his eyes...

Craig, Daniel and Joel

So we waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited until Joel got fed up and called for our favourite hero to save the day.... (Superhero music)

And then came the hero... Ah Pa Adrain... In his (Ta-ta-ta-daaaa)...erm... van (not batmobile!!)... wearing a white shirt(no undies outside... as for inside.. erm.. u have to ask him...) and so we had another ride and experience of sitting in a hero's "supermobile" and got back just in time to... erm... eat... "lunner" and "dinch".. cos it was 5 pm and we havent eaten lunch nor dinner... (we have been surviving on those mentos given by the aunty)...

And so we went home hand in hand (just a phrase.. relax..nobody's holding nobody's hand), just the 3 of us.. Joel, Daniel and Craig... into the setting sun...

The End.
