Reading Psalms

Dear all, this is what Jianhui shared during cell on 4 Jan.

Some Poetic Tools to note when reading Psalms:

1. Parallel Synonymous - worded differently but same meaning eg Ps 3:1
2. Synthetical Complementary - lines with the same idea that builds on the previous line to give a clearer picture eg Ps 23:1
3. Anti-tactical - the verse has a contrasting parallel to the truth of the first line using the word "but" eg Ps 18:27
4. Emblematic Metaphorical - using non-related objects to describe something eg Ps 42:1
